Links for Greener Learning Celebrates the Eco-Fashion Show 2024 and OTF Grant
St. Catharines, ON – August 16, 2024 – Links for Greener Learning (LGL) is excited to announce its annual Eco-Fashion Show 2024, taking place on Friday, August 23rd, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Buchanan Teaching Gardens, located at 360 Niagara Street, St. Catharines. This event will showcase the impactful results of LGL’s programs over the past year and celebrate the launch of the new healthcare uniforms initiative, proudly made by local artisans from the Niagara region.
The Eco-Fashion Show 2024 promises to be an inspiring afternoon, highlighting the creative achievements of LGL’s sustainable fashion initiatives. This year, the event will also feature the introduction of healthcare uniforms designed and produced locally, emphasizing our commitment to sustainability and community empowerment. These uniforms not only reflect high-quality craftsmanship but also represent our ongoing efforts to create jobs and enhance skills within the Niagara community.
An Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) volunteer will be in attendance to recognize the significant work accomplished through the support of an OTF grant. The grant has been instrumental in driving forward LGL’s mission to promote environmental awareness, sustainable practices, and social inclusion within the community.
Joining the celebration will be Chris Bittle, Member of Parliament (MP) for St. Catharines, Bruce Williamson, Ward 6 Councillor for St. Catharines, and LGL’s dedicated founder, Yaneth Londono. Together, these esteemed guests will commemorate the strides made by LGL in fostering a greener, more inclusive community.
